Event Introduction
The Seoul Museum of Craft presents "Dancing, Dreaming, Enlightening," a special exhibition donated to the museum, highlighting the artistic world of artist Keum Ki-sook. This exhibition follows the creative journey of Keum Ki-sook, who has forged a unique domain of "fashion art" over the past 40 years, bridging the gap between fashion and fine art, tradition and modernity. Crafted from non-traditional materials like wire, beads, woven fabrics, and scrap materials, the works range from single garments to large-scale installations, exploring themes of artistic expansion, coexistence, and enlightenment. We invite you to delve into the artistic world of Keum Ki-sook, who delicately embodies the interplay between light, line, and human relationships. Experience the artistic moments of dreaming, dancing, and enlightening as you weave through her journey, thread by thread, through the exhibition hall lobby, first floor, and third floor. Focusing on contemporary craft and donated materials, the exhibition showcases works crafted using a variety of materials, including metal, fiber, paper, and synthetic resin.
