2025 Nonsan Yangchon Dried Persimmon Festival

The Nonsan Yangchon Dried Persimmon Festival is held annually to promote the excellence of Yangchon dried persimmons, boasting the highest sugar content in the country, and to revitalize the local economy. In 2025, the festival will be held for three days, from December 12th to 14th, at the Yangchon-ri Sports Park in Yangchon-myeon, Nonsan. The festival will promote Yangchon dried persimmons, which have been recognized for their excellence through designation as a Yangchon Dried Persimmon Special Zone, Q-Mark quality certification, and selection as an Excellent Specialty Product. Visitors will enjoy a variety of experiences, performances, and sales events featuring dried persimmons. Key programs include dried persimmon promotion and sales, a Christmas market, agricultural and specialty product sales, a local promotional center, cultural and artistic performances, and hands-on events. The festival will also feature a variety of activities designed to appeal to families, focusing on dried persimmons and Christmas. Around 20 dried persimmon farms, local arts organizations, and citizens will participate to enrich the festival. Through a heartwarming winter story shared by local residents and tourists, the festival will contribute significantly to the local economy. The 2025 festival will feature programs such as 'Yangchon's dried persimmons and Christmas as concepts and stories, promoting and selling agricultural specialties, performances, experiences, and events.'
